If you want to travel to Hel and spend time more actively,...
If you want to travel to Hel and spend time more actively, there are only 2 places to consider. The rest is either too small to do anything (Kuźnica, Chałupy) or too big-city vibe (Władysławowo). So you can consider either Jastarnia or Hel and I'm honestly not sure which one is better. Jurata was also really nice, but Jastarnia was better (bigger, more things to do, but also still cosy).
Hel city had more activities (like lighthouse) but from Jastarnia you can go anywhere (eg electric scooters) and to get out from Hel it's a nightmare. Too small trains, not everyone can get onboard, last train 9:10PM. No modern taxis (apps) and regular taxis are not taking pets and costs 10zł/1km, what is super expensive even in Warsaw. I really thought I'll sleep on the train station because I couldn't get to my hotel. Horrible experience. On contrary in Jastarnia there are public transport options (scooters) and you can go either west or east, so easier to get to various areas. In my opinion it's the best city to spend most time in and just visit neighbouring cities.

Jastarnia on Hel is one of most wonderful little towns at the polish baltic coast.
The beach is beautiful, with white sand and a fantastic ocean.
There is forest and beach on one side of the half Island and the Danzig Bay on the other.
The property was in a good location, close to the beach and the port as well as shops and restaurants but let’s be honest, most properties in Jastarnia are. The shower pressure was great which is often an issue in hotels/apartments so plus for that. There was a fridge in the room and a shared kitchen on the floor which was nice. The apartment was nice and clean upon arrival. Good amount of towels however not changed during the whole 4 day stay and nowhere to actually dry them.
Location is just marvellous, near to the rail station, both beaches, shops ans restaurants. The apartment is next to the cathedral so it's very easy to find from any point of Jastarnia.
I have to admit, the apartment is very comfy, well equipped and clean. Additionally there's an opportunity to leave baggage earlier, to rent a bike. The stuff is very welcoming and helpful.
We definitely enjoyed the stay and will be back for sure.
Special thanks for Easter cake 💛
The flat was very nice and functional. Renovated with taste.
Everything needed is on hand.
It is part of a hotel complex that is located right by the beach, in the forest, away from the noise and bustle of the city centre.
The owner is friendly and helpful.
Highly recommend.
Clean new apartment. Close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Private parking. You can park you car and take a train for a day trip to Hel. Owner is nice and he speaks English.
The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, cutting board, kettle, knives, cutlery etc.
The owner was lovely and greeted us when we arrived. The room was spacious, very clean and equipped in everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and nicely decorated. There is a common kitchen on each floor for the guests to use which comes very handy.
Very nice, new apartment in an apartment building with its own parking space. Elevator in the building. Dishwasher, coffee machine and other necessary equipment. Not only children will appreciate the option of Netflix. Welcome bottle of water.
The camping is lovely, very well organised, super clean and thought-through bathrooms, a nice surf shop and grocery store, a gorgeous bar with a great view and even a coworking space. The cabin itself is super basic but clean and just fine.
Very good hotel, 1 minute walk from the beach!
I have stayed here before and the quality is still high!
Good breakfast, parking, location, rooms, staff.
Got upgraded for free to a large apartment room!
We stayed here for two nights in the hostel room. Everything was great, clean, staff were very nice and helpful. Good food and drinks at the bar/restaurant. Beach was just a few minutes away.
For this standard the price was excellent. Little far to the shared bathroom, but everything was clean and tidy. shared space betweem rooms - very cool for students :) very close to the beach
We rented rooms there as whole Jastarnia was sold out. It’s a decent three star place, don’t expect marble floors but the rooms are really cozy and for the price it’s really a good value
